From June 16 to June 17, 2016, the Shanghai Academy of Electrical Appliances organized the "GB/T31143-2014 Arc Fault Protection Electrical Standard Testing and CertificFrom June 16 to June 17, 2016, the Shanghai Academy of Electrical Appliances organized the "GB/T31143-2014 Arc Fault Protection Electrical Standard Testing and Certification Seminar". More than 20 well-known enterprises from different industries participated in the Seminar. The company was invited by the Shanghai Electrical Research Institute and also participated in the meeting. 

 Arc Fault Protection Device (AFDD) is a new type of electrical fire protection device. Its main function is to cut off the power supply in a short time when it detects harmful arc at the load end to avoid electric fire. AFDD uses advanced electronic technology, integrated circuit, MCU and other control platforms, real-time automatic control, high technology content. The greatest advantage of AFDD is that the power supply has been cut off before the electrical fire danger changes from quantity to quality (that is, before the fire occurs). It is an advanced electrical fire protection product.

 The seminar invited key drafters and experts to explain in detail the newly published national standard GB/T 31143-2014 General Requirements for Arc Fault Protection Devices (AFDD). The meeting also introduced the application of the standard at home and abroad, the trend of international standardization of AFDD, the patent analysis of AFDD products at home and abroad, as well as its testing technology and testing equipment. 

 As AFDD is an emerging product in the domestic market, there are still many technical issues to be studied in the future, so we are considering to improve the test platform to study the unsolved problems. 

 The conference was full from beginning to end, and the atmosphere was warm, showing the great enthusiasm of enterprises for AFDD and its standards. Through the meeting, the enterprise has a more in-depth understanding of the latest developments in product development, promote the upgrading of the company's technology, improve product quality, and protect more customers'lives and property safety.
